“Participatory Advocacy” the fourth module of the School for Activism

“Participatory Advocacy” was the theme of the fourth module of the School for Activism. Over 20 participants representing Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from all over Kosovo, during three days, had the opportunity to receive theoretical information and be involved in the practical part of the training related to the mechanisms of CSOs for advocacy and the role of citizens in policy making.

The focus of this module were the issues related to the involvement of the community in the work of CSOs, the policy-making cycle, the role of citizens in the policy-making and decision-making processes, the main formal mechanisms for the participation of citizens in the policy-making process at the local and national level as well as the existing mechanisms and the starting point for citizens’ participation in the process of Kosovo’s integration into the EU.

The School for Activism is organized within the Resource Center for Civil Society in Kosovo, a project financed by the European Union, co-financed by Sweden and implemented by the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF) and Community Building Mitrovica (CBM).
